What’s on in Manchester this Autumn
We have had a fantastic summer in Manchester, and now it is time for autumn to shine! The leaves are starting to turn red, gold and brown, and the city’s parks are beautiful for a weekend walk in the fresh air.
The autumn months in Manchester are buzzing—and if you’re a student with us at The Essential English Centre, this is your chance to dive into everything the city has have to offer.
Here are just some of the events coming up over the next few months.
Halloween in the City Weekender
Celebrate the arrival of Halloween with the return of Manchester’s Halloween in the City celebration. The city will be transformed into a fun-filled extravaganza, with spooky events taking place all over the city on the weekend of October 25th – 26th. What’s more, our famous Manchester monsters will return once again, appearing on buildings and rooftops through the city centre. Why not choose your own fancy dress costume, and get involved!
Dive into Autumn at Manchester’s Independent Cafés
Manchester has a fantastic café culture, and whether you want to sit outside and watch the world go by, or stay cosy inside, there is a coffee shop or bistro for everyone! Go seasonal by trying a delicious pumpkin latte, gingerbread latte, or a spiced apple tea. Manchester favourites that serve these autumn specials include Ezra and Gil in the Northern Quarter, or Cocoa Cobana in the trendy Ancoats area of the city centre.
Halloween Spooktacular at the Trafford Centre
If you are visiting the Trafford Centre this autumn- one of the UK’s largest shopping malls – be sure to check out the amazing Halloween-themed Gandey’s Circus! This is an amazing Halloween-themed production and offers entertainment for all ages. Showing from October 10th to November 2nd, be part of a classic British tradition, and book your seat for this fright-filled evening of fun!
