New Student Accommodation!

Student accommodation trends in recent years have shown an increase in demand for self-catering, independent living. We have certainly seen that at The Essential English Centre, with the spotlight more and more on Manchester as a top language travel destination. 

To meet with growing requests for residence, our team has been busy sourcing new, high-quality self-catering options for our students.   We are delighted to be able to offer from May 2025 a wider range of residence options to suit all budgets!

We’ve also been listening to feedback from our students and partners and we have made the following changes:

  • New minimum stay period of just 2 weeks (instead of 4)
  • No deposits required for any private accommodation
  • New accommodation page with more detailed and accessible information about our accommodation options

New Year-Round Residence – just £260 per week with no deposit

This new residence in our portfolio is situated in the heart of the university district of Manchester, just a short bus ride from the city centre and the school.  All rooms offer a private bedroom, private bathroom, with the beautiful Whitworth Park just across the road.  At just £260 per week, this is one of the most competitive rates in the city.  Book soon to secure your spot!

Budget residence available in July and August for just £200 per week: 

During July and August, to assist with increased demand, we also have a budget student residence for our students.  Just a short bus ride away from the city and with an all-inclusive price of just £200 per person per week, we can now offer this to our students who are on a tighter budget but still want to enjoy studying in Manchester in the summer.  And remember, we don’t add a summer supplement to our courses either and you will pay the same price all year round.

Luxury Studios and 1 Bed Apartments!

Our aim is to cater for all budgets and requirements, so we also also offer luxury studio and 1 bed apartments located to the North- West of the city and within walking distance of the school. For students who want more privacy and a higher standard of living, this all-year-round option is perfect!

Students must be 18 over over to stay in private residence or apartment accommodation. The photos show an example of a room available. Rooms may vary depending on availability. The Essential English Centre does not own its accommodation. We choose accommodation providers carefully and only work with providers who meet our quality expectations. Accommodation is inspected regularly byour accommodation team.
