IELTS

Our IELTS programmes focus on the Academic IELTS examination and will prepare you in each of its four areas. Our professional teachers are specifically selected for their experience in teaching IELTS preparation programmes, and will assist you every step of the way. With continual assessment and feedback, you will also have the opportunity to regularly practise exam techniques using authentic IELTS exam materials.

To access a course at university, you will normally need a score of between 5.0 (CEFR level B1) and 6.5 (CEFR Level B2), depending on the university and the course type. You should check this with the university so you fully understand the requirements from the beginning.   It is important to know what level you are now, so that you have an idea of how long it will take you to achieve the IELTS score that you need.  It takes about 12 weeks to progress by one CEFR level, and to improve your IELTS score by 1 band.

The IELTS exam centre in Manchester is just a 10 minute walk from our school. If you choose to book your exam in Manchester, you can make an appointment with our Director of Studies who will assist you with the application process.
